I Have No Memory

Saturday night Courtney called to see what I was up to. I was hoping that since she went home after dinner Friday, that she would want to hang out Saturday night. She was kind of shy and awkward on the phone, and it was definitely not typical of her. We talked for about a half hour, and eventually it seemed that she didn’t intend on coming over. Then she said “So Todd wants me to agree to be in a committed relationship with him”. I was like…”umm, who is Todd and what are you talking about?” She then explained to me that a guy in Afghanistan whom she talks to on the phone every day, told her that he wants her to commit to him and nobody else. Evidently, she wasn’t dating this guy to begin with, but from 8,000 miles away, he decided that they should be, and she agreed. I was a bit speechless. I told her that I’m not sure what she wants me to say about that, considering we’d been dating for a month and she never mentioned that she was basically dating some guy on the phone at the same time. I told her I wanted to get off the phone because I couldn’t think of what to say; I haven’t heard from her since.

Clearly, after Bridgette, Heidi, and Courtney all doing the same shit to me, I’m obviously not dating material?? Maybe I’m like one of those slutty girls that everyone thinks is cute and likes to sleep with, but would never date. Whatever the issue is, clearly it’s me because the chances are slim that this would happen 3 times in 1 year.

Today my parents came to BTV to take me to lunch for my birthday, which was in June.  I took them to see the new offices, and to meet Sasha, Kimberly and Luis. Then they left.  ourtney sent me the following text today: “Are you being weird to me, or am I just being a girl?” My response: “wow”.
