Andy died.

Chad asked me to come up to visit Friday afternoon, so I knew I’d have to take my Boxster out of “Storage” status with USAA, which turned into an hour phone call with them trying to figure out if it should be insured in Florida …
After a 2 hour delay due to snow in New York, I finally made it to Fort Lauderdale around 6:30 and Chad picked me up.
We caught up on the last year of our lives on our drive to Miami and stopped by my place to drop off my luggage. The house was a disaster. Every single surface was coated in a layer of concrete dust and it filled every crevice, everywhere. We walked over to HuaHua’s for tacos; amazing tacos within walking distance of my house! Much better than El Cortijo! After tacos Chad and I went to a bar on Lincoln road and had a beer before heading home to my disaster of a house. The first night I did my best to get my bed set up so I wasn’t sleeping in dust, and woke up early Wednesday to start cleaning and do some work.
Wednesday I woke up early and cleaned off my desk and chair so I could hook up my laptop and catch up on DJDeals.com work, which I’d skipped Tuesday due to traveling all day. I spent the morning working, and the remaining 12 hours of the day cleaning the condo. I only got through about 1/3 of it. Such a nightmare!
Had some time to Facetime with Jennifer Wednesday night and catch up, and got to bed around 1:30AM.
Thursday I woke up late accidentally, probably because I was exhausted from cleaning and moving furniture (which caused my knee to swell all the way back up again). I worked on DJDeals.com from 1-3 and then spent the rest of the day cleaning. I went to see if my car would start, and my genius idea of disconnecting the battery 18 months ago worked; started right up! One thing went right this year!
Spoke to Aaron Goldfield on the phone briefly about the Warner Block Siding Project, and hopefully got it all back on track after the shit show it was when I left.
Spent a bit of time listing a bunch of items for sale on Craigslist that I found at the condo; 2 Arne Jacobsen Egg Chairs, a Roomba, Alicia’s vacuum, computer speakers, 2 ikea glass side tables, and a few other odds and ends; hoping to make some money as fast as possible.
I desperately need to find someone to trade my Boxster for an SUV, but for 2 years so far, that search has been completely fruitless.
Friday I’m going to head up to see Chad after work, and check out Green Bar & Kitchen, should be fun!
Took a boat to the French side of St. Maarten for drinks & prosciutto at Love Beach, now having drinks on a friends boat in Port De Plaisance!
Chilling in the sunshine by the pool overlooking the Carribbean, listening to my DJ set from Saturday night @Red Square.
I’ve been back from Miami for 7 days, and can’t stand it here, so I’m off to St. Maarten Sunday morning! See ya VT!
