First Weekend Back

First Weekend Back

Woke up Saturday at 4:15.  Oops.  Went downtown for a coffee, saw Noah’s new puppy, and got dinner with Pat at Boloco. Chatted a bit with Wyatt at the Half Lounge, and went to Red Square with Alex, who graciously let me in for free

Woke up super late today, Jet Lag.  I worked with Sasha from about 4:30 to 8.  Got dinner at the Green Room, and Craig met me for a chat and a drink.  Went back to the office and did some work until about 2:00AM.  Talked

Back to Vermont :(

Went to bed around 2:30 last night, and got up at 8.  Sarah picked me up and we went to breakfast.  She dropped me off at the airport, and I reluctantly left San Diego.  All in all, this was easily one of my favorite trips I’ve ever taken, I saw so many things, met so many people, and have now totally changed my mind about California.  Today was a long day of flying, and I have to go back to the airport at 1AM to get my bags, because I hopped on an earlier flight home, but my bags didn’t.

Woke up around 10, and went to Starbucks for some granola and a coffee. Hopped on the Coaster train from San Diego up to Oceanside to hang out with Brand and Niffer for the afternoon, and go surfing.  We grabbed lunch at Subway and surfed

Lou, Sarah and I went to check out all of the boutiques that Lou shops at.  There were a few great shops and I ended up buying a pair of Supra Muska Skytops, and some locally made sunglasses.  Afterwards, we went to grab lunch at

Gumball 3000 Rally

Gumball 3000 Rally

After 2 hours of hacking my iPhone at the hotel, I was able to get it working again, but I lost all of my settings and info.  I was able to get my contacts back on it, and figured that at least if I could get a hold of Mel, that it would be worth going to the Gumball 3000 Rally Party at the Ivy Hotel.  I got there and was on the guest list, so I headed to the rooftop deck at Eden.  It was amazing, huge and very well designed.  Capacity on the roof is about 560, so it’s pretty fun!  I ran into Kristi whom I had met earlier in the day at her boutique.  She was really excited to hang out so we talked for a while, and hung out for most of the night.  At the very end after last call, I ran into Melissa B (finally) and helped her take down some of the rally promo stuff, and chatted for a bit.  It was great to see her, fun to hang with Kristi, and a incredibly fun event.  So many famous people, but because of my lack of interest, I only recognized a few people like Tyson Beckford and Bam Margera.

Lou and Sarah picked me up today and we went to Little Italy to get lunch.  We were all really hung over from last night…We popped into a few shops, and then ended up at a really cool boutique called Station that is owned

Sarah!

Sarah!

Woke up and wandered down the street to Starbucks.  Sarah came and picked me up, and we went to get brunch.  It’s so great to FINALLY meet her, it’s been so long since we first started talking, and she is so important to me.  Sarah

Rachel and I woke up today SOOOO hung over. We were dying, and it REALLY sucked that we had to get up and bring me back to my hotel to go to San Diego.  We dragged ourselves to Stroh’s Gourmet on Abbott Kinney to get some greasy breakfast food.  I checked out of my hotel, an went to the pool to chill while I waited for Morgan Page to pick me up.  I ran into Joe, the bartender again, and we exchanged Facebook info.  He’ a nice guy, so it’ll be good to have another contact in LA.  While I was there, a group of girls told me I had the most beautiful hands, and told me that I should look into modeling. lol.  Morgan picked me up and showed me his side of LA.  We went to the studio, and I was amazed by how rad all of the gear was, and it was really cool to see the setup he uses to make the incredible music he makes.  He dropped me off at Union Station, and I hopped a train to San Diego.  The trip took roughly 2.5 hours.  I slept a bit, because I was so hungover.  Drank wine and ate food for free the whole way, paying the $10 extra for business class on Amtrak is so worth it!!  The train lost my luggage, had to wait about an hour for the next train train to arrive with it.  Took a bike taxi to the Bristol Hotel, checked in, and went to RA for amazing sushi, solo.
