Fire

I woke up Friday and heard a smoke alarm in a robot voice saying “emergency, evacuate!, emergency, evacuate!”. It was going off for about 30 minutes before I was awake enough to realize what it was. I threw on clothes and ran downstairs to figure

Sundays Are Always the Loneliest Days

Spent the entire day alone, nobody called; I have nothing to do on Sundays, and nobody do do nothing with. I really want out of VT…but mint.com says that my net worth was $520,000 12 months ago, and today it is $81,000. It’s clearly not

Finished Demolishing the Bathroom

My dad came over Saturday and we brought all of the debris from the bathroom out to my deck and dropped it 2 stories down to the ground into a pile. We tried to put a lot of it into construction trash bags, but it just tore through them and turned into even more of a disaster. Wyatt came over with his truck and we loaded all of it into the back, and dropped it into a dumpster, it was pretty entertaining.

I’m ordering the remainder of what I need for the project this week, the shower fixtures, vanity faucets, toilet, lights etc. Hopefully the water will dry out over the next 2 weeks, as most of the room is totally saturated.

Friday

I took down the rest of the walls in the bathroom today. Saturday my dad is coming to help me carry all of the debris out to the dumpster. I went to work with Kimberly from 3 to 8, and then we went to eat

The Economy Continues to Collapse

Woke up today to watch Barack Obamas speech about the failed economy. I was again amazed by his brilliant eloquence and his intelligence. I can’t wait to see what he does for the next 8 years. I worked from 2pm to 1am. Jordan and I

When it rains, it pours.

I spent 4 hours today removing the floors, walls and fixtures from the bathroom.  Under the floor tiles I discovered 1/8″ of water.  The water is leaking from underneath the bath tub, and has spread out through the walls into the bedroom on one side and the kitchen on the other side.

I’ve spoken to my insurance company and they said it isn’t covered by homeowners insurance because it was an ongoing leak, and so I will have to now replace all of the walls, floors, plumbing, kitchen cabinets (which are brand new), bamboo floor in the bedroom, and the entire bathroom.  I estimate that it will cost upwards of $20,000.  I will have to stay in a hotel.

I only have $1300 in my bank account.

If luck existed, I’d be really bad at it!

NYE 2009

On New Years Eve I was supposed to be at the bar at 7 to set up. At 6:30 I still didn’t even have a DJ mixer to play on.  At the last minute, I opened up one of the mixers that I sell, and

Norah was here, and then she wasn’t

Went to breakfast with Norah, Alex, Shannon, Pat & Kylie at Mirabelle’s. Norah was here for a week, but spent all but 2 hours of it at her dads, so I only saw her twice, both times for breakfast. It was still great to see

Tired

Worked Monday from 2PM to 2AM. Dad and I went to dinner at Stone Soup and talked about how both my financial and personal lives have collapsed into a very deep hole.

Luis and I were at the office until 2AM.  Not looking forward to DJ’ing Wednesday, I just want to stay in and relax.

Breakfast Tuesday with Pat, Shannon, Norah & Alex, I’m excited for that!

Studio Time

Studio Time

Pat and I went to breakfast Saturday, and I ran into Ashley, who I haven’t seen in years. Francis, Kimberly, and Josie were there too, which was cool.  We went to the recording studio for 7 or 8 hours, and ended up starting a pretty
