Ikea is Hell on Earth on Sunday

Lou and I went to Ikea.  We also hit up Lowe’s, picked up a dimmer switch, a new succulent and some paint chips.  Yup- a Big Sunday.  Ran into Steve and Deanna, who I adore. Deanna is 4 months pregnant and has the tiniest little belly.  It’s adorable.   It’s unfortunate that it’s going to end up in an infant, but they seem ok with it.  I felt really old, standing in Ikea talking to some friends about their nursery decor and the shitty economy.  This is what my life has become?  I should have been home eating greasy food trying to recover from a terrible hangover and a  night of blackout debauchery.  On the bright side- at least I’m not fat.

Greg is coming home from London a month early! He got laid off.  Apparently things in Britain aren’t so hot with their economy either.  We talked about my birthday in St. John and he (along with everyone else) is in saving mode.  I am the only one running around spending money like that crazy grasshopper.   I figure, if shit really hits the fan I’m going to need my house to be comfy and my clothes to be cute.  It’s the only way I’ll survive.
