Santa Monica

Santa Monica

Woke up at 10, spent 2 hours online trying to decide what to do today, and how to get there.  I didn’t want to pay the $40 to take a cab to the Getty Museum, so I ended up hopping on a bus at noon and getting off in Santa Monica.  I wandered around the Third Street Promenade for a while, had a coffee at Starbucks, and people watched.  Made my way down to the pier to relax on the beach and swim in the beautiful ocean.  Sat near a beautiful blonde, but as usual, had nothing interesting to say to her, and she left with me feeling like I’m a huge dork that should have at least said SOMETHING.  Spent about 2 hours at the beach, and meandered around Santa Monica until about 6.  Hopped back on a bus and came back to the hotel.  Rachel called at 7:30 when she go out of work…she was too sleepy to hang out, so she went to bed, and I went to dinner at Italy’s Little Kitchen.  Had a glass of Merlot and a FANTASTIC Antipasto Di Mare.  Probably the best I’ve ever had.  Came back to the hotel, and realized I wanted some Skittles so I went next door to Ralph’s and bought a gigantic bag.  On the elevator on my way back, I offered them to a woman in a cowboy hat, who promptly filled her hands with skittles and then proceeded to pour them into her bra.
